Press Review
"The creative expression of Mariagrazia Stoppa, artist born in Magenta, living in Casatenovo in the centre of Lecco province, is characterised by a constant search for means of expression, capable of giving form and substance in every day elements reinvented through a technical language that passes agilely and with extreme self confidence from painting to raku ceramics and terracotta. The subjects of Mariagrazia Stoppa play a part in a daily reality which is read and reinvented poetically with attentive and meaningful gestures -we observe delicious feminine voices, among which a woman with child, where forms are revealed little by little in front of the eyes of the observer, which remain there sincerely curious and notably attracted. The flow of the material, especially the raku ceramics, take neither a casual nor banal effect but operate to transform the material into a work of art and extremely tactile as with the exemplifying title of "Double face".
